About The Oatmeal Group

The company is made up of four key business units:

All of the projects are undertaken using the AIMS methodology, a unique process where clients needs, capability to deliver and strategic fit are firstly analysed, secondly, an intervention process based one the highlighted needs which may involve training, marketing and consultancy, thirdly a process of ongoing measurement begins, against pre-set targets, and lastly a skills transfer for sustainability ensuring each and every project delivers and returns the expected outcome to grow the company.

The business model

Oatmeal is a collection of talented individuals who together, have a breadth of experience and capability that enables a systematic approach to growing companies. Oatmeal takes a holistic approach at board level, identifying gaps and bringing in expertise from its divisional units to remedy the solution. To maintain a low cost base, flexibility and a model of accountability, Oatmeal operates on a flexible firm concept, where non business critical expertise is outsourced to preferred associates. Under this model operates two tiers, partners who own the company and are targeted against contribution, and associates who do not hold equity, and operate alongside partners at an operational level. Associates are categorized as platinum, gold, silver and bronze, denoting their contribution and commitment to Oatmeal with asscoates proving their mettle quickly moving up the scales to partner status.

Associates are actively encouraged to help develop the business, and in return Oatmeal will allocate a geographical area based on their expertise / preference and fully support associates in developing the business through strong branding and on line activities. Remuneration is based on experience, geography and associate level.

Associate clasifications are as follows:

Platinum

Must have worked at Gold level for one year and either completed and have helped win significant work for Oatmeal

Support on an MBA if not already held

Gold

Must have worked at silver level for at least one year and completed five assignments or worked full time. Must have won at least five contracts for Oatmeal

Client management

Advanced project management

Silver

Must have worked at bronze level for at least six months, completed all courses and either delivered four assignments or worked full time. Must have won at least three contracts for Oatmeal

Basic project management

Consultative selling

Bronze

Must be a proven consultant with a skill that clearly adds value to Oatmeal. Must bring one new client to the business and pay a £600 administration fee.

Personal branding

New associates will be required to attend an initiation session to familiarise themselves with the Oatmeal brand, vision and product portfolio, which will include outlining and agreeing the support given to the associate.
