Back to news list New for Autumn is our Meeting Facilitation training course designed for anyone who needs to get the most from groups of people. The art of facilitation allows you to fill an impartial role in helping groups become more effective. Facilitating brings with it many responsibilities: • to the individuals • to the group • to the purpose • to the client, and • to your own integrity in ensuring you are assisting the situation. As facilitators you will have a unique opportunity to make a positive contribution to individuals, organisations, issues and society where your effectiveness is based on your personal integrity and the trust developed between yourself and those with whom you work. Our Meeting Facilitation training looks at adult participation learning principles and styles leading to the development of a range of Adult Learning Principles. These can guide the design and delivery of your facilitation. These include: • setting a positive climate for participation and/or learning • clarifying the purposes of the participant/s and/or learner/s • organising and making available participation and/or learning resources • balancing intellectual and emotional components of participation and/or learning, and • sharing feelings and thoughts with participant/s and/or learners, but not dominating. This facilitation course has been developed to take into account all aspects of facilitation for those new to facilitation or need some structure to get the most out of future workshops. Training can be delivered over half or full day to include working examples as appropriate.Meeting facilitation training
