Presentation skills for quivering wrecks
Your throat dries up, your palms become sweaty before you muster a single word. Anxiety is extremely common, and affects the majority of our students at some point regardless of seniority, age or experience.
We all should have a level of nervousness before any presentation, it prepares our minds and bodies into action, yet for many, the mere thought of presenting in front of a group of people can destroy their confidence altogether.
We have devised a programme that has been rolled out to senior London executives through to undergraduate students, a programme that carefully analyses and explains why we fear presentations so much, and why the fear of public speaking is generally the most common fear of all.
What does the course cover?
- why does speaking in public create so much anxiety?
- coping strategies to control nerves
- preparing for success, not fear
- models of anxiety management
- risk mitigation strategies
What level of course is it?
Courses can be tailored depending on the audiences needs which we will discuss in advance of the course to determine content and level.
How is is taught?
Our fear of public speaking courses are taught through a range of different mediums to cater for different learning styles, to include, video analysis, role play, experiential learning - what if scenarios, through to timed facilitator led workshops to fully immerse the delegates in public speaking.
What do I do next?
Contact us outlining what you'd like to achieve, we'll then discuss your organisation and team with you and propose a suitable fear of public speaking training course for you.
Our new book on why presentations fail
Why do over 80% of business presentations fail? this new book takes an insightful look at why we have to endure so many dreary presentations.
