An introduction to effective presentations
New to Presentation training? Never presented before? Or had a really bad experience? On this introductory presentation course we look at the objectives of presentations and why so many fail. Through some simple frameworks we will start to explore structure, how to open and close, how to effectively answer questions and how to deliver powerful presentations with only 15 minutes preparation time.
Throughout the day you will be delivering up to 5 presentations in a variety of different scenarios, giving you the opportunity to explore and examine your own style in a safe and friendly environment.
We will cover:
- Planning the event, do's and dont's of presentation management
- What every presenter should always carry to minimise disaster
- Managing the environment, where to stand and where to direct your attention
- How people think, creating a logical path for people to follow
- PowerPoint and visual aid etiquette from the viewpoint of a designer
- Killer intros and closing techniques to get yourself remembered
- Answering questions with ease, put yourself firmly in control
Based on the 2004 MBA dissertation 'The ineffectiveness of business presentations', this introductory presentation skills course is taught to executives on MBA courses throughout the world, and has specifically been designed as a high impact, enjoyable experience to erradicate poor performances where success is critical. It is particularly suitable for suitable for job interviews, ad hoc business, sales presentations and networking events.
